The Best Start Resource Centre provides consultations, workshops and conferences, subject-specific information and resources.

Our clients describe our services as "credible", "connected", "proactive" and "relevant". According to recent evaluations, over 83% felt our services “helped them to achieve their goals”, “increased the effectiveness of their work”, “helped integrate best or promising practice into their work”, and “improved specific aspects of their practice/approach”.

In 2010-2011, Best Start Resource Centre staff:

• provided 17 onsite consultations and 65 off-site consultations
• produced 14 new resources, have 5 resources in development, revised 14 resources, and distributed over 300,966 resources in total
• hosted conferences with 384 participants from across the province
• delivered 12 training events and 10 presentations
• facilitated two electronic networks with diverse, multi-disciplinary service providers (1900 who work in the maternal/child health field; 330 who work for Healthy Babies Healthy Children programs)
