Resources

These resources are developed either independently by the Best Start Resource Centre or in collaboration with other organizations and experts. Materials range from fact sheets, brochures, decals, posters to program planning guides and reports.

All of our material is available at minimal costs to residents of Ontario (If you are outside of Ontario, please contact the Resource Centre for rates). Please see the online order form for details. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.

Best Start Displays

The Resource Centre has several displays available for loan. Most are large, double-laminated paper displays that roll into a tube. The following displays are available:

Life with a new baby – postpartum mood disorders display This display about postpartum mood disorders is a roll up unit that comes in its own case. The free standing display measures 33” by 80” but rolls up into a small case. It can be used at health fairs and other events. Also available in French.

Abuse often starts or gets worse during pregnancy A 6'x3' anti-violence display encouraging pregnant women who are experiencing abuse to get the support they need

 

Alcohol & Pregnancy - Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Prevention A 6'x3' display that can be used in a variety of settings. Also available in JPG for download.

 

Environmental Risks to Child Health A 6' x 3' display about environmental risks to preconception, prenatal and child health.

 

Alcohol Free Pregnancy A 6'x3' display that can be used in a variety of settings.

Preconception Health - Health Before Pregnancy A 6'x3' display that can be used in a variety of settings.

Working Pregnant Women Display A 6'x3' display designed to be used with women who might be pregnant or are planning a pregnancy. This display has been used at health fairs within individual workplaces, and at community pregnancy health fairs.
