Workshop Description:
The Best Start Resource Centre team is pleased to announce a Province-wide Forum on Child Poverty in Toronto, Ontario.  The Province-wide Forum will be held March 9th, 2010 at the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel and Conference Centre.  This Province-wide Forum will address pertinent information for service providers working with families with young children (0-6 years old) living in poverty.  It will share information about rates of child poverty, consequences of child poverty, strategies that influence the impact of child poverty, and strategies that influence the rate of child poverty.  Registration will start at 8:30 am and the forum will end at 4:30 pm.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Conference delegates are responsible for booking their own accommodations. A block of rooms is reserved at Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel and Conference Centre at a special rate of $159 for single, double, or triple occupancy. To reserve a room with the special rate, please book your Reservations directly with Sheraton Reservations at 1-866-962-7058. Please state that you are attending the Health Nexus Forum.

All delegates are responsible for notifying the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel and Conference Centre about changes in travel plans. The Best Start Resource Centre is not responsible for any room charges or room cancellation fees for forum delegates.

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING
Complimentary Airport Shuttle Service is provided daily to and from Lester B. Pearson  International Airport from 3:40 am to 1:55am. 588 parking spaces are available at a cost of $2.50 per hour to a maximum of $15.00 per day or $15.00 per day for overnight guests with valet parking available at a rate of $20.00 per day. Evening parking is also available for guests starting at 6:00pm until 1:00am at a rate of $8.00 per evening.

DISPLAY SPACE:
There will be space available for programs to bring material that is relevant (research, programs and services, policies) and relates to the issue of working with families and young children (0-6) living in poverty.
