This evening workshop is designed for physicians, midwives, nurse practitioners, social workers and mental health counsellors working with pregnant women and new mothers at risk for or affected by perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.  A presentation by Dr DeCamps Meschino will be followed by the Best Start Resource Centre video, discussing diagnosis, screening, assessment and treatment of these common perinatal complications. There will be time for reflection, case discussions, questions and the exploration of resources and support services in the Niagara region.

The objectives of this workshop are to:

• Enhance participants’ knowledge of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders
• Improve participants’ ability to diagnose, screen, assess, treat and support clients with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
• Increase participants’ ability to access interdisciplinary resources and support

This session is approved for 1Mainpro-M1 credit by the Ontario College of Family Physicians.
