Web coverage of the Pre-Conference | Day 1 | Day 2

Overview

Across Canada, at all levels of government and in communities, there is a building awareness of the role of health promotion in keeping children, families and communities healthy. There is also an increasing understanding of the work that maternal, newborn and early child development professionals do in promoting child and family health. Both short and long-term rewards are evident and the work that we do is being recognized as the necessary investment that it is.

The 2006 Best Start Annual Conference uncovered emerging issues, explored current topics and strategized to strengthen the ties we have with one another that support healthy maternal, newborn and early child development in Ontario. Read about the workshops that addressed the needs and interests of practitioners, professionals, policymakers and advocates.
