Resources

This page is under construction. We’ll provide links to resources and services that Aboriginal people in Ontario can access.

For now, you can read a report we developed with the help our of advisory council. The report explains our approach to developing the toolkit and training.

You can also visit some of our blog posts related to the health of Aboriginal children:

“Traditional transportation was mainly walking. Then the horses came, there were more and more horses. Before that they used dogs sometimes, but there were not many. It was mostly horses leading when people moved around. Modern transportation can be good and it can be bad. It all depends on how you use it. Some people fly to Powwows, so that is good. With cars, sometimes we get overweight because we do not get exercise, especially with diabetes we need to walk.”

Dakota Sioux Elder Eva McKay, from In the Words of Elders (1999), pg 306
